<p>La pièce "<em>Tragédie religieuse en vers patois et français du 17e siècle</em>" a fait l'objet d'une édition partielle dans "<em>Le bibliophile du bas-Languedoc</em>". Les 25 pages se répartissent du numéro d'août au numéro de novembre 1888 de cette revue et sont publiées d'après un manuscrit inédit de 36 feuillets.</p>
<p>La publication de ce texte s'arrête au numéro de novembre 1888, au premier acte, scène III.</p>
<p><br />Cette pièce inédite a été jouée le dimanche 14 août 1661 à Villeneuve-les-Béziers pour la consécration de la nouvelle église. Elle a pour sujet le martyre de Saint-Etienne. </p>
