<em>Instauration des Jeux floraux à Toulouse le 3 mai 1324, peinture de Jean-Paul Laurens, Capitole de Toulouse (photo CIRDOC) <br /><br />La première séance des jeux floraux </em>est une fresque picturale de Jean-Paul Laurens : cette œuvre fut commandée par la municipalité de Toulouse en 1900 et fut mise en place au Capitole en décembre 1913.<br />Sur cette fresque, Arnaud Vidal, au centre sur une estrade, déclame le poème qui lui a permis de remporter le prix lors de ces premiers Jeux Floraux. Près des remparts, la foule de dames et gentilshommes témoignent du succès de cette première édition datée du 3 mai 1324.
